Founded in 2003 by President Terry Weeks, a
graduate of the Construction Science and Management (CSM)
program at Clemson University and an experienced manager of
commercial and light industrial projects totaling over $35
million and including the Columbia Museum of Art, the Cassique
Clubhouse on Kiawah and International Center I and II at the
Charleston Regional Business Center, the company specializes
in retail, office, medical, light industrial and church projects.
By using the design-build construction process,
with the engineers, architect and general contractor all on
one team, Cornerstone is able to best meet the needs of its
clients by eliminating many of the hassles associated with
traditional building methods. The design-build process helps
shorten project duration, reduce costs, improve communication
and prevent contractor-architect disputes.
In addition, the company, along with skilled
trade contractors and design professionals, works closely
with the client to customize the process, from site selection
to move in day, resulting in a high-quality project, and ultimately,
a happy client.
In addition, The Cornerstone Company is
actively involved in land procurement and development and
can also assist clients who want or need to lease buildings
or space. We provide complete build-to-suit services and on
some properties give tenants the option to buy. Please view
